# Adding an indicator to an indicator set

Indicator sets can be created or added to by any user of a registry that has the appropriate metadata extension enabled.

### Prerequisites

For indicators to be viewed or created, their extension ('Comet Indicator Registry') must be enabled in the Aristotle Cloud Settings Editor. See the [relevant help documentation](/administrator-tasks/aristotle-cloud-settings-editor/adjusting-metadata-and-functionality-extensions.md) for enabling metadata extensions.

### How to create an indicator set

1. Select 'Create Metadata' from the dashboard side panel, or select the creation shortcut from the registry header followed by 'See all...'.
