# Registration Authorities A registration authority is defined as a unique framework of authority within which individuals act, or are designated to act, towards some purpose. This are represented in Aristotle as a body of users within a Stewardship Organisation that have the authority to review, publish and adjust the visibility of the metadata items of that Stewardship Organisation.
