# Adjusting translation options

{% hint style="info" %}

{% endhint %}

Translation options can be used to adjust options relating to the language of registry content.

### How to adjust translation options

3. Under the appropriate subheadings, you may adjust the following:
   * 'Default Language': The language code used for the registry's default language, based on the codes laid out in ISO 639. The registry's default language is the language that registry content will appear in if no other language codes are used in the 'Allowed Languages' section
   * 'Allowed Languages': Allowed language codes for metadata content. Also based on ISO 639, the language codes added here (by selecting 'Add item') will appear as available, togglable options beneath any metadata item's title.
