Organization Records

Only a Stewardship Organization Administrator can create or link an organization record.

ISO 11179 defines an organization as a 'unique framework of authority within which a person or persons act, or are designated to act, towards some purpose'. The Aristotle Metadata Registry further defines any organization that is not a Stewardship Organization as an 'organization record': a non-stewardship organization responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of one or more metadata items.

Functionality of Organization Records

Organization Records can be created, and linked to pre-existing metadata items in the registry.
